Freakshakes crazy milkshake recipes

People are queuing up for 40 minutes to try one of these. Skip the queue and make your own freakshakes at home. Here are four extreme milkshake recipes to get you started. Which one would you choose? For me it is a toss up between the nutella pretzel and the brownie toasted marshmallow.
To make these extreme milkshake recipes you will need:
Ganache
125g (4.41 ounces) dark chocolate
125g (4.41 ounces) milk chocolate
125mL (4.23 fluid ounces) cream
Whipped Cream
400mL (13.53 fluid ounces) Cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Whip to peaks and place into a piping bag fitted with a star shaped nozzle.
CHOCOLATE BROWNIE FREAKSHAKE (makes two)

1/2 cup or 125mL (4.23 fluid ounces) ganache
400mL (13.53 fluid ounces) milk (4% fat)
2 generous scoops of ice cream
Additional 1/2 cup of ganache
Additional 2 scoops of icecream for putting into the glasses.
Whipped cream
Chocolate Brownie
Marshmallow
Place the ganache, milk and ice cream into a blender and mix well.
Spread ganache on the inside of the glasses and around the top outside edge. Add a scoop of ice cream to each one and pour in the chocolate milkshake. Pipe high with cream then add a brownie and a marshmallow. Toast with a brulee torch until brown and crispy.
NUTELLA PRETZEL MILKSHAKE RECIPE (makes 2)

1/2 cup or 125mL (4.23 fluid ounces) ganache
400mL (13.53 fluid ounces) milk (4% fat)
2 generous scoops of ice cream
2 tablespoons nutella
Additional 1/2 cup of nutella
Additional 2 scoops of icecream for putting into the glasses.
Whipped cream
Pretzels
In a blender put milk, ganache, a big spoon of nutella and ice cream. Blend well.
Smear some nutella inside the jars and around the top edge, flatten it around a bit. Then add pretzels around the top of each one. Add a scoop of ice-cream and pour in the nutella milkshake.
Pipe the cream around the top. Then add more pretzels dipped in nutella to the top.
SALTED CARAMEL APPLE PIE MILKSHAKE RECIPE (makes 2)

400mL (13.53 fluid ounces) milk (4% fat)
2 generous scoops of ice cream
3 tablespoons salted caramel
additional 4 tablespoons salted caramel
whipped cream
mini apple pies (recipe)
Blend together the milk, salted caramel and ice cream.
Add some caramel inside the jar and around the top edge. If you want it dripping down heat it with a brulee torch. Add the ice-cream and salted caramel milkshake. Place cream and an apple pie on top and drizzle with more caramel sauce.
DONUT MILKSHAKE RECIPE

400mL (13.53 fluid ounces) milk (4% fat)
4 generous scoops of ice cream
vanilla essence
additional 2 scoops of ice cream
whipped cream
Jam (UK:Conserve or US: Jelly)
Custard
Donut
Place some jam and custard around the top of the jar. Then add ice cream and vanilla milkshake.
Top with cream, add a straw and a donut to the top.

Hi Gus, I have added links to the blog page above to our ‘What cream should I use? page. Different regions use different names for cream. In Australia cream is cream with a 35% fat content or higher.

Hi Tin, You can use the amount of milk you prefer. Just remember that it will not only be thicker but sweeter as well.
