Bringing your cakes to life.
Step 1: Purchase the app

Step 2: Print out your markers and cut out

Step 3: Open the app and press the button for the animation you want, line up the square directly above the appropriate marker until it locks on. Once it is locked on you can move it around as long as the marker stays on screen.

Just one thing i have the surprise cakes App but the sound effects do not work on any of the markers/virtual reality things, do you know if it's something on my phone or if it is the App itself

Hi Hannah, Your cake looks amazing. Thanks for the great feedback. I have forwarded you note about the App to tech support. They were having a couple of issues with an App update, which should be largely sorted. If the problem persists, let us know.

Hi Music lover 33. So glad you have enjoyed the app. They are working on fixing a couple of bugs that have recently popped up, so our apologies if you have experienced problems. Everything should be ironed out shortly and within a week back to trouble free operation.

hi Ann, what is the best way to protect your surfaces from red fondant because I would like to make a wedding cake for my mum and she will go crazy if the fondant stains .

Hi Tally, Ann suggests using non stick baking paper or a similar product. Ann finds that you do get some colour on the bench but it comes off easily with a spray bench cleaner.

Hi Brown. Have you purchased and downloaded the APP? Once that is done, print out the markers on this page. and cut out the one you wish to use. Open the app and press the movie clapper button, line up the square directly above the marker until it locks on. The images will then appear on screen.

I think the Surprise Cake app would be more wonderful if it had video capability on top of the camera ability. I can already image a video of singing the birthday song with the fireworks going on or the dragon flying around

I’m french and I was wondering whether it would be possible to cook a “lapin crétin” cake?
It’s an Ubisoft game character, and has a lot of success among the small ones.

Thanks for the suggestion Audrey. I have seen a show on TV with those rabbits on Australian TV.
Hi Netty, This is likely not an issue with the APP but rather an issue with your local settings. The method to sort it will depend on the phone model, operating system in use and the camera. We haven’t had any persistent issue with the app. In most cases just adjusting the permissions for the app on your phone settngs resolves the matter automatically.

Good evening. I am hoping you can assit me with troubleshooting the ‘surprise Cakes’ app. I have downloaded it onto my ipad. Restarted the ipad as are to do with loading any new app. And the apps does open but on the ‘movie’ / capture sscreen, it is blank behind the line up box: either black or white background.
I have turned device on and off and let sit for 5 minutes to ensure its completed it entire start up sequence.
Please help.
Hi Martin, Did you print out the marker? The screen is meant to be blank. You then line up the box on the marker. The other thing to check is that the app has permission to access the camera. This is corrected in your phone settings. I will also pass on your query to our Tech support, so they can assist you if needed.
